Kathy Michaels has covered the Okanagan business community for the last three years and is looking forward to taking her insights to a new and innovative product in Kelowna.com. Throughout her time working for both the Kelowna Capital News and the Penticton Western News, she’s provided readers with a clear view of what was happening in their community during one of the most turbulent economies in recent memory.
While she was most keenly interested in the changes in the real estate market, Michaels has also taken the time to find out businesses that flourished and innovated as the economy began to stagnate and later show signs of revival.
For the last few months, she’s also shared her opinions on politics and pop culture through her column Kathartic, and intends to continue that work at kelowna.com. Michaels is excited to turn her attention to a medium that offers news to its readers on a much more immediate basis.
