From Josh Groban to Tracy Chapman, Louis Armstrong, James Brown, The Rat Pack and Elton John – impressionist Andre-Philippe Gagnon covers them all and he is almost better than the original.

Now the talented entertainer will be bringing his show to the Kelowna Community Theatre for one show on May 10.

Gagnon became the first Quebec comedian to perform on the famed Las Vegas strip, with several extended stints at some of the top casinos and he has been entertaining audiences ever since.

Full of new ideas, during summer 2009 Gagnon concentrated on the creation of his brand new English-language show for 2010. Some of the best Canadian comedy writers, including George Reinblatt (Rick Mercer’s Monday Report, Just for Laughs), Gord Holtam and Rick Olsen (Royal Canadian Air Farce) teamed up with Gagnon and Stéphane Laporte.

MOMENT FACTORY, the multimedia firm behind the last Nine Inch Nails tour and some of Le Cirque du Soleil’s creations, jumped on board to help him generate his most personal show ever, a combination of technology and creativity.

In his new show combining music, comedy, and multimedia interaction the impressionist borrows the voice of the global artists from all eras to showcase what is, in his opinion, the musical history of the last sixty years.
