Motorcycle accident sends man to hospital, closes road

A 48 year old Kelowna man is in hospital with serious injuries following a collision between a Motorcycle and a Motor Vehicle.

The crash happened at 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Pooley and McCulloch Roads. The driver of the Motorcycle landed in the ditch and suffered significant injury. He was transported to Kelowna General Hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.

The Central Okanagan Traffic Services (COTS) members and Collision Analyst are investigating as to the cause of the incident. Alcohol has been ruled out.

More details will be released once they are known.

    The Good Samaritan was a ProCare Instructor who teaches first aid to Care Aides. The motocycle driver was so very bleased to have had her there at that precise moment.

    My brother was one of the first to arrive and aide with the driver! Very scary stuff
