Police are again warning businesses, and the public of more PIN Pad fraud attempts within the city.
There have been three documented attempts at PIN Pad replacements at local businesses. These occurred within the last week and, fortunately, none were successful at gaining any banking information.
Police investigation to date has shown that three individuals were active in the Kelowna area from April 8th to the 11th and have since moved north to the Vernon area. Police are working on surveillance video obtained so far, and have descriptions of the suspects; two males and one female.
The two males are described as being of Middle Eastern descent. One has a moustache and beard, the other has a bald spot on the top/back of his head. The third suspect is a Caucasian female with shoulder length dark hair. The three have commonly been seen together.
Police are asking business owners to recall if these persons were seen on your business premises between April 8-11 and, if so, to review any store surveillance video that might be applicable. Please call the Kelowna RCMP if there is any information/video that may prove helpful in this investigation.More PIN pad fraud attempts in Central Okanagan
