Two men are lucky to be alive after their canoe flipped in heavy winds on Okanagan Lake.

“It doesn’t take much,” said RCMP Cpl. Jolley.  “It’s very fortunate that they were wearing life jackets.”

According to RCMP, the two men, “seemed to be in good spirits, but very cold.”

Paramedics attended to them after they were brought to shore.

    Hi
The Life jackets saved our life. The man from Penticton I can not say enough times “Thankyou”. Hospital time was only 3 hours and a bit. Just needed warming up and some liquids through an IV drip. I do not recommend swimming in the lake to learn what real Cold is. All I wanted was out of the water and my canoe partner out of the water to. I did not care what happened next.
