A Kelowna area male, who was caught in a stolen vehicle last month, is facing many charges in connection with a rash of Break and Enters in Kelowna and area.
On March 16, 2010, 37 year old David Johnson was observed, by RCMP Target Team members, getting into a vehicle that had been reported stolen the previous day in Lake Country.
Johnson fought with arresting plain clothed members until he was subdued. He gave a false name, that was later detected, and resulted in a charge of Obstruction.
Johnson appeared in Court on March 19th and was charged with Possession of Stolen Property, Obstruction, Resist Arrest, Possession of Break in Instruments and Drive While Suspended. He was remanded in custody to appear in court at a later date. Johnson has since been charged in connection to 15 other Break and Enters and will be dealing with those at his next court appearance.
