So what will almost half a billion dollars in renovations and new construction at Kelowna General Hospital look like? We can’t show you exactly because this animated flyover of the future Interior Heart and Surgical Centre, provided by the Interior Health Authority, is for conceptual illustration purposes only and should not be considered indicative of what the final buildings will or should look like.
The flyover was shown to Interior Health board members at their last meeting and generously provided to Kelowna.com to show readers what a state-of-the-art hospital might look like when final buildout is complete in 2017.

Okay so looks quite impressive… but uhm does anyone else think that some of the routes and roads and alleys they show here seem to be rather wider and grander than they are in reality? I mean pandosy is wide but 5-6 car widths??? Unless there is some serious road widening coming that nobody is aware off I’d have to say that someone took some artistic license and embellished a bit on the space that will be available.
