Kelowna have signed three players from the University of Utah as infielders Tyler Yagi and Tyler Wagner along with right handed pitcher Zach Adams will join the Falcons baseball team this season.

Sophomore infielder Tyler Yagi has the Falcons very excited after hitting .343 with 12 doubles with the Utah Utes in 2009.

He was the Mountain West Conference tournament MVP and a NCAA Regional All-Tournament player and during the MWC tournament, Yagi led all players with 10 hits and eight RBI.  In the NCAA Regional, he started all four games, batted .500, while collecting nine hits.

“We’ve had a wonderful relationship with the University of Utah in the last couple of seasons,” said Falcons GM Mark Nonis. “Coach Kinneberg sent us Bryn Card and Andrew Wilding in 2008 and they showed why the Utes have one of the classiest programs in the NCAA.  Bryn and Andrew were model citizens and we’re expecting the same from both Tylers and from Zach. We tried to recruit Yagi last season and we’re so happy he’ll be a Falcon this summer.  His stats speak for themselves as the conference MVP in 2009.  He’ll be an in trickle part of our defence this summer and he’ll be joy to watch in the middle infield.”
