Okanagan College Coyotes baseball team start their defence of the CCBC Larry Walker Division Championship this weekend in Langely with a four-game set versus the Kwantlen Polytechnic University Eagles.  The Coyotes begin league play following three weekends of exhibition play with U.S. Junior College teams.

Okanagan College are counting on ace pitcher Cory Wood, the game one starting pitcher, to set the tone for the weekend with a convincing win.

Veteran lefty Rob Alksne will pitch game two on Saturday while right handed pitcher Kiefer Rodway and Brendon Peron will get the starts on Sunday in games three and four after both looked sharp in preseason action.

The Coyotes will need a big defensive effort from the infield and some timely hitting to come out on top.  Leading the hit parade should be Spencer Kilpatrick, Adam Parliament, Bryce Wilkie, Rob Alksne and Brendon Peron.  Reed Quall and Tyler Smith need to get on base consistently to set the table for the aforementioned hitters to drive in the runs.
