Local RCMP are on the hunt for a muscle car that ended up causing a bit of a pileup yesterday afternoon.

At about 4:25 p.m. Thursday  the driver of a red Ford Mustang was heading eastbound on Harvey Avenue approaching Cooper Road when they rear ended the vehicle in front of them, said Cpl. M. McVicar of Central Okanagan traffic services.

“That ended up causing a causing a four vehicle collision,” McVicar said in a press release. “The Mustang then fled the scene without checking on or speaking to the other drivers.”

The collision resulted in damage to four vehicles and whiplash related injuries to one driver.

Kelowna RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating this mid ’90s red Ford Mustang which will have damage to the left front bumper area and a missing headlamp.

Anyone with information about this collision is asked to contact the  RCMP Central Okanagan Traffic Services at (250)980-5354 or Crimestoppers at  1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
