The Kelowna Art Gallery on Thursday in a press release announced the hiring of Nataley Nagy as their new executive director.
According to the press release she has over 20 years of experience in the visual arts sector and most recently held the position of Executive Director of the Textile Museum of Canada in Toronto from 2002 to 2009.
Ms. Nagy has also managed a wide variety of arts projects in her roles as director of Ottawa’s Galerie SAW, as an arts officer at the Ontario Arts Council in Toronto and as Executive Director of the Art Gallery of Windsor.
During her tenure at the AGW, Nataley oversaw the Gallery’s relocation to a regional shopping mall and the construction of a purpose-built building on the waterfront.

Nagy succeeds former director Dona Moore, who gave notice of her retirement several months ago after ten years in he position, but will remain until Nagy takes over Apr. 6.
The gallery is located on Water Street in the downtown Kelowna entertainment district in a building constructed in 1996
Nagy received an honorary doctorate from the University of Windsor and holds a B.A. from Carleton University in Ottawa. She is a graduate both of the prestigious Getty Museum Leadership Institute and the Arts Administration Training Program at the Banff Centre for the Arts.
