Trevor Bailey and his Warriors won game three of their playoff series against Penticton.

The Westside Warriors held serve on home ice Friday night and hope for a repeat performance tonight when they host the Penticton Vees in game 4.

While the Vees were the team to step up with big goals in the first two games, the Warriors got three in the third period to break a 1-1 tie after 40 minutes to win 4-1 and pull within one in the series.

Westside’s scoring machine Trevor Bailey added a goal and two assists to his totals in the victory. But a big key for the home side was its play in the defensive zone, holding the Vees to a single goal and their captain Denver Manderson to no points despite the Vees’ 38 shots on goal.

Needless to say, Kevin Jebson was the game’s third star with a 37-save effort to put the Warriors in a position to pull even before the series returns to Penticton on Monday. Keeping Manderson pointless in game 4 will likely result in a series-tying victory but is an arduous task in back-to-back situations.
