Kelowna.com news
We hear all the time when things are stolen but here’s a case of goods being returned.
The Kelowna RCMP property crime unit recovered some $250,000 worth of stolen property including vehicles and even a skid steer from a property in the 4400 block of Black Road in Kelowna on March 5.
RCMP spokesperson Const. Steve Holmes wouldn’t say just how the investigation led them to the property. He also couldn’t say yet where the items were stolen from but speculated that it was a somewhat sophisticated operation.
“For that amount of items to be in one place, that is fairly substantial,” he told reporters.
The haul includes:
- seven dirtbikes
- two ATVs
- a snowmobile
- a jet boat
- a Jaguar Sedan
- a Chev truck
- a generator
- a tent trailer
- a skid steer (like a Bobcat).
A 49-year-old Kelowna resident was arrested at the scene and he faces charges of possession of stolen property. He was released on a promise to appear.
