Geordie Wudrick scored twice and Brandon McMillan had a goal and an assist to pace the Kelowna Rockets to a 5-0 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds in WHL action Friday night.

Mark Guggenberger wasn’t tested often in the Kelowna net, he faced just 16 shots, but he was solid when he was needed as the Rockets have now won two straight. The shutout was Guggenberger’s first of the season.

The win is the third of the year against the Thunderbirds and it came because of a balanced scoring attack. The Rockets scored twice in the first, once in the second and two more in the third.

After Wudrick notched goals 24 and 25 in the opening stanza, McMillan extended the lead to three with his 19th of the year in period two. The lead grew to five in the third as Evan Bloodoff and Brett Bulmer each added singles in a period that saw Guggenberger face only one Seattle shot.

Kelowna now turn their attention to Saturday, when the meet the Vancouver Giants at 7 p.m. at Prospera Place.
