A young man is injured and a woman has been arrested, following a hit and run that took place Friday night.
West Kelowna RCMP are investigating the incident which took place at approximately 10:55 p.m. in the Shannon lake area., say RCMP.
A white Dodge Dakota pickup, driving at a high rate of speed, came around a corner, was unable to make the corner, and struck a youth who was standing on the side of the road with a group of other youth.
The vehicle didn’t stop, and was located in the area a short time later.
The female driver was arrested, and later released, to appear later in court. The young male victim was treated for minor injuries at the scene by BC Ambulance and released to his mother.
