Two men found out that playing with a Bobcat, the mechanical kind, can land them in jail.

At 2:08 this morning, police attended a wooded area above UBCO for a report of four intoxicated males riding around in a small  ”Bobcat” loader that had been taken from a construction site nearby.  The loader did not stop, when police turned on their emergency lights and so officers had to chase the slow moving loader on foot. When the suspects saw police, they began to vacate the moving vehicle. Two of the culprits disappeared into the night. Police officers caught the remaining two, one of whom assaulted the officer chasing him. The inebriated two were subdued and taken into custody.

They were released when they sobered up and both will appearing in court, at a future date, to face charges. A 20 year old UBCO student is facing a charge of Theft Over $5000. A 23 year old Prince George male is facing charges of Theft Over $5000, Resist Arrest and Assault a Peace Officer.
