Re: Natural Remedy Makers In 'Crisis,'; Weekly Pop May Double Pancreatic Cancer Risk, both Feb. 8.

Did other readers spot the irony in your Feb. 8 edition? On the front page, Canada's pharmacy regulators are quoted as saying that drug stores should stop selling multivitamins and herbal remedies, hinting they are unsafe (which I don't believe). Then a few pages later, an article states that researchers have found that soft drinks are linked to pancreatic cancer — an up to 87% increase in risk.

I buy my pop and candy at drug stores. Are Canada's pharmacy regulators going to stop the sales of these items?
