NEW YORK – Priscilla Lopes-Schliep won the 60-metre hurdles event at the Millrose Games on Friday night at Madison Square Garden.
The Whitby, Ont., native won in a time of 8.01 seconds, edging out a pair of Americans. Tiffany Ofili finished second in 8.04 seconds, while Virginia Powell was third in 8.07 seconds.
Pickering, Ont.'s Perdita Felicien just missed a podium finish with a time of 8.11 seconds.
The prestigious Millrose Games is the first stop on the USA track and field's Visa championship series.
Eleven Olympic medallists are participating, including Lopes-Schliep, who won bronze at the 2008 Summer Olympics in women's 100-metre hurdles.
