Jules is a large-sized adult Anatolian shepherd cross. His health has been checked, his vaccinations are up-to-date, his worming is up-to-date and he has received a behaviour evaluation.
Jules came to the SPCA from regional district. He is a very friendly and outgoing dog who would do well in a home that is somewhat active and dog savvy.
Right now Jules likes to jump up on people, pull when on leash. With a little patience and positive reinforcement Jules can easily be broken of these bad habits. ‘

Lou is a male wirehaired fox terrier cross with chihuahua. The neutered adult has had a health check, vaccinations, worming and a behaviour evaluation.
Lou is not suitable for children, but is OK with other dogs. Little Lou is timid yet outgoing (once he is comfortable). He would do best in a home that is adult oriented and calm and consistent. Regular exercise and daily outings would help Lou continue to become more and more socialized.
He does have a unique fear of cords attached to appliances. He may associate them to a negative experience from his past. Regardless, Lou is a very sweet little boy who is looking for a new home as his previous one needed to give him up because they were moving.

Mishta (Animal ID: 176407)
Mishta is a large, adult Akita Inu cross. He’s had a health check, a behaviour evaluation, vaccinations and worming. She is not suitable for children.
Mishta came to the SPCA from Dog Control, so we don’t have a full history on him. Mishta is a very playful dog with people and dogs that are well socialized. Mishta does have a tendency to wander, so a fully secured fenced yard is a must.
From Wikipedia: Akitas are renowned as loyal dogs and also intelligent and because of their intelligence are easily bored. As a result, they often become destructive if not given anything to do.
They can live happily in apartments as long as they are given plenty of exercise. Akitas would rather live in a home with no other pets present, unless they have been raised with them during puppyhood.

Wally (Animal ID: 178165)
Wally is a chow chow cross with golden retriever. He is a young adult male who is neutered. He has had a health check, vaccinations, wormed and has had a behaviour evaluation.
He is a playful dog who has some basic obedience. He loves playing with toys. He does not live well with cats. He is timid of strangers and for some reason afraid of walking sticks. We can assume that he might have had a bad experience with people and sticks. He is a sweet dog who needs the right home, please do some research on chows if you are interested.
“The Chow is extremely loyal to its own family and will bond tightly to its master. The Chow typically shows affection only with those it has bonds to, so new visitors to the home should not press their physical attention upon the resident Chow as it will not immediately accept strangers in the same manner as it does members of its own pack. Inexperienced dog owners should beware of how Chow Chows encounter those it perceives as strangers.”
