The Kelowna Christian school Knights battled their way to a sixth-place finish this past weekend at the boys A provincial high school volleyball championships held in Clearwater, while the Immaculata Mustangs finished eighth.
At the event, won by of Houston, the Knights came out of the round-robin part of the tournament third in Pool B, behind Bulkley Valley and the top team, Credo Christian of Langley, while the Mustangs finished fourth in Pool A behind teams from Houston, Richmond and Cedars.
In the playoffs the Knights fell 3-0 to eventual fourth-place finishers Richmond, while the Mustangs were defeated 3-1 by Credo, who went on to lose to Houston in the final gold-medal game.
In the consolation draw Kelowna Christian defeated Immaculata 2-0, before falling to Sparwood.
