The family of a 15-month-old boy who fell to his death after wriggling free of his mother's arms at Pearson International Airport on Sunday has spoken out for the first time since the accident. In an interview with CBC News yesterday, Flavio Romano said he, his wife Veronica and elder son Massimo are "coping" with the death of their younger son, Lucca, pictured. "This is not easy. This is not something we would like to see happen again to anyone. It will take time for us to heal," said Mr. Romano, who criticized the railing design in Terminal 1 where his son fell. "I heard that the railing is up to code, but anyone with a little sense will never have something like that in the area." He described Lucca as a "beautiful little guy" who was always happy. "He brought us happiness every moment," Mr. Romano said. "He was always smiling … he was amazing."
