Re: What She Didn't Ask, Lawrence Solomon, Nov. 21

Shame, shame, shame on Anna Maria Tremonti, host of the CBC's The Current, for the manner in which she conducted the interview with Lawrence Solomon, executive director of Energy Probe and author of The Deniers, on Nov. 19.

I had been waiting (in vain, I thought) for the CBC to give credible global warming sceptics an opportunity to voice their views after listening to so many on only one side of the debate. My delight on hearing that Solomon would finally be interviewed quickly turned to anger and outrage as Tremonti did everything she could to prevent Solomon from presenting his views by incessant interruption and very aggressive questioning.

The Current is an interesting and informative show. Unfortunately, the guests that Tremonti agrees with get soft-ball questions, and are permitted to go on and on without interruption. Those that she disagrees with face an up-hill battle. How sad for her audience, and for journalism.
