Alouettes coach Marc Trestman may be a heck of a coach — and two years into his Montreal career, you'd have to hand that much to him — but he comes across as a mad scientist, one of those driven, intense detail guys who looks as though he's got to have three ballpoint pens in his breast pocket and a plastic pocket protector. He looks like a guy who spends his spare time putting reinforcements on his binder paper. Roughriders coach Ken Miller has been referred to as Grandpa Simpson on first sight; you know, Homer's dad. But that doesn't quite capture it. He's someone's grandpa, though. Kindly-looking, like a guy you'd see marshalling at the golf course, or greeting you at Rona.
