You really need to be extra vigilant on water street when driving. Something that would be more difficult to do after a few drinks. There are a few steps that the city could do to make crossings safer as when I drive down water street I often think the pedestrian crossings are obscured by parked cars. Make pedestrians visible to motorists by clearing the view of the crossing. Cars should not be parked near crossings to make them safer and allow pedestrians to be seen before they walk into the road My condolences to the pedestrian that was tragically killed by a impaired driver.
