Scott Bonner's redesigning of the Vancouver Giants continued Saturday morning. The Giants general manager, who brought in goaltender Mark Segal earlier this week to help right his listing hockey club, picked up winger Connor Redmond from the Red Deer Rebels in exchange for winger Lane Scheidl.

The son of former NHLer Craig Redmond got to the rink in time for Vancouver's game against the Portland Winterhawks.

"We need to change the personality of our group, as well as we feel we've always been noted as brash, hard-to-play-against team and we worried that we were losing that identity," Bonner said.

Redmond had two assists in 13 games this season with Red Deer. Scheidl scored twice and had five points in 22 games with the Giants.
