TORONTO – Virgin Mobile is set to offer the iPhone to Canadian customers, the company announced Thursday.

The iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS will be available in Canadian stores and online "in the coming months," Virgin said in a news release.

There is still no word on how much the phones will cost.

Bell and Telus both offer the popular Apple iPhone for $199 with a contract.

    Virgin is owned by Bell.

The eminently disgusting phone monoply, Fido in Ottawa, offered me an iPhone for $699 or hey, hey, hey, speshul offer $599 if they could entrance me into their web.

I will never buy an iPhone at such rip off rates and frankly $199 isn’t much better, considering it’s another contract killing.

Canaduh needs to understand that it quite simply isn’t so euphoric living here with taxes already lowering income to barely sustainable living standard.

You’re correct, Bell does own 100% now of Virgin Mobile Canada so I’m sure the rates and such would be the same as Bell currently offers.
