The winner will be given the daily prize (Thursday: a $50 gift certificate to Hector’s Casa in Kelowna) and be entered to win one of three trips to Mexico thanks to Kelowna International Airport, Air Canada Vacations, Transat Holidays/Nolitours and Westjet.
Here’s what you have to do:
Answer the following question: Pan de muerto, or “bread of the dead” is made out of what?
Send your answer to news@kelowna.com. First to answer will win the prize and qualify for a chance to win one of the trips to Mexico.
(We were going to make you bring us food for the food bank, but we wouldn’t dare make you go out in this weather)
Not a daily qualifier? Be sure bring items for the food bank to the Mexico Travel Exhibition and Dia de Meurtos Celebration at Kelowna International Airport Oct. 30 between noon and 4 p.m. and enter to win.
The travel exhibition and Dia de Muertos Celebration will see the Dia de Muertos Altar competition–guests are asked to bring a donation for the food bank as a vote for the best local-media created altar. There will also be Mexican music and entertainment, door prizes; and free information and presentations from air carriers, travel agents, Mexican resorts and the Mexico Tourism Board. And, of course, the giveaway of three trips for two at the event.
