RCMP members and personnel from the Kelowna Fire Department responded to reports Wednesday afternoon of a vehicle that had rolled more than 35 metres down a remote embankment into the Gallagher’s Canyon area of Kelowna.
The vehicle, which appeared to be a pickup truck, had come to rest against a tree on a steep slope above McCulloch Forest Road. While it appeared to have been abandoned, a fire department crew was dispatched to access the scene in difficult terrain.
Upon reaching the scene, they determined that there were no occupants, although it was uncertain how long it had been there.
