Jay-Z, one of the most influential performers in hip hop, has set a Kelowna date on an upcoming tour, according to reports.
According to sources, including Sun FM, he will be in Kelowna Oct. 15, with tickets going on sale Sept. 11 at Prospera Place. Jay-Z is known for his work with artists like Rihanna and Beyonce Knowles, who is also his wife.
Born Shawn Corey Carter, the hip hop performer is also former CEO of Def Jam Recordings and Roc-A-Fella Records. He’s won a number of Grammy Awards and recognized by numerous music organizations. He has sold some 27 million records in the U.S. alone and was named by MTV as the single greatest MC of all time.
