I went to Boomers Bar and Grill on a Friday evening, and the place was pretty busy.
It was dinner time and it looked like there were families (yes, minors allowed in certain areas) and people just off work stopping in to get a bite to eat.
There are lots of tables and a few TVs set up here and there for those hoping to catch some televised sporting events. Want to see some live action sports? There’s an ice rink right on the other side of the pub, where you can watch teams practicing and playing games.
The menu is really low-priced and their specials (like Friday’s, which is steak and prawns for $10) are tasty and inexpensive. Their appetizers ranged in price, a number of them for under $8.
Boomers Bar and Grill is located near the Capital News Centre complex at 4105 Gordon Dr. It’s open 11:30 a.m.-late daily. The kids menu is available until 8:30 p.m. every day.
