Families will be congregating in West Kelowna tomorrow for the final day of Westside Daze.
The four-day event comes to a close Saturday, but not before laying on tons of fun for everyone.
The kids fair takes place from noon to 4 p.m. and is free. There will be games, a bounce house, rock wall climbing, face painting, an obstacle course, kids golf and basketball, free entertainment and Operation Family Identification.
Operation Family Identification is brought to the community by London Drugs and is supported by Block Parent, Crime Stoppers and the RCMP and is an opportunity for families to pick up child identity packages. The package includes a picture, fingerprints and the child’s vital statistics.
The free entertainment will take place from 12:15 to 4:15 p.m. and will include Sista and the Boyz, Pam Ferens, Clinton W. Gray and Leif David. The Kids Day is held in Johnson Bentley Memorial Park, free parking is behind A&W. The fair wraps up with a draw for a girls and a boys bike.
The annual Westside Daze Parade starts at 10:30 a.m. and will see lots of entries including floats, horses, cars, bands and service clubs marching the parade route, which starts behind Zellers off Old Okanagan Highway and ends on Butt Road.
Later in the evening there will be cardboard boat racing at the yacht club from 4 to 7 p.m. followed by a free Ryan Donn concert at 7:30 p.m. in the memorial park.
And Westside Daze will come to a close at 10:15 p.m. with fireworks. For more information visit www.westsidedaze.com.
