The Kelowna Falcons halted a four-game losing streak and got some revenge at the same time as they defeated the Wenatchee AppleSox 4-3 in Wenatchee Friday night in the first of three games in three nights against the PCL East Division leaders.
The win improves the second-place Falcons record to 11-8 while the ‘Sox fell to 13-6. The Falcons are now three games up on third-place Spokane in the standings.
In the two teams previous three meetings in June the AppleSox swept the Falcons three-straight at Elk’s Stadium. The teams meet again Saturday evening and Sunday night in Wenatchee to round out the Falcons nine-game road trip.
The teams’ next home game is July 7 against the league-leading Corvallis Knights (15-3).
